First Days in Doha

We left Houston around 9:45 pm and arrived in Doha the next day around 8:30 pm.  We were greeted by friends and driven to our new home.  When we arrived at our home, some new friends weclomed us with brownies :)  Everyone was excited and we settled in to bed around 1:00 am.  The sun rises around 4:30 am, and Karlee woke up early with her dad!  Hunter and I slept awhile longer and woke up to see Carl off to work at 8:00 am.

Our new house is very comfortable and roomy. Our shipment has not arrived yet, so were making due with
the items that are here for us, which work out OK.  On Thursday while Carl was at work the kids and I
ventured around our "gated community" and saw the awesome swimming pool, club house and play ground!  The kids will LOVE it here:)  Alot of families have left for the summer, but Karlee & Hunter are
ready to make friends and start playing!

Today we were all awake at 2:30 am!!!! It is now 9:15 am and were ready for a nap!!  We are going to venture out to do some grocery shopping today, YAY!!

Busy

We've had a busy week! Lots of packing and moving!
Did manage to have some fun, shopping with my parents
in Houston.

This next week is going to be very busy! Were going to
take family pictures tomorrow, looking forward to this!

3 weeks!

Wow, we have three weeks until we depart Texas for Doha!  We have so much to do still: pack, pack and more packing.. lol!!!

I had my first breakdown last week and am realizing just how much we will miss all of my Texas family and friends:(  We know that we will make many new friends in Doha, and we are very excited about that!!

The kids are getting excited and are happy to buy some new toys to take with them :)

Move Date

We will be arriving in Doha on June 15!!! We have 5 weekends to pack and get everything else in order, it will be a very busy time for us. 

Let the Journey Begin

Woo hoo!! We received word that our Visas have been approved.  We will be moving to Doha very soon, we don't have a specific date but within the next couple of months.  The last few months have been a roller coaster ride wondering if we were actually going to move or not. Now it's time to get to work moving, figuring out what we need to take, etc...

Karlee is excited about the move.  Hunter really doesn't understand it, but is only concerned about having his Wii there!!!

We will miss our family and friends dearly!  Everyone set up skype!!
